St Austell Fire Station is inviting all members of the public to their annual open day this Saturday. The Open Day, which runs from 10 am to 4 pm, will include demonstrations of the wide range of equipment used by Cornwall Fire Brigade, from hoses to fire engines.

Representatives from the the Police, the Coastguard and paramedics from Westcountry Ambulance will also be on hand to give information and advice. .

A programme of events includes:
11.00 Chip Pan Demonstration
11.30 Resuscitation demonstration by Westcountry Ambulance (and every hour until 15.30)
12.00 Cadet display
13.00 Chip Pan Demonstration
14.00 Fire Investigation Dogs Demonstration
15.00 Joint Emergency Services Display
16.00 Chip Pan Demonstration

Face painting, a bouncy castle, fire memorabilia a barbeque and cream teams will also be available throughout the day.

So why not go along and meet your local firefighters, experience some fun and help the Brigade raise money for the Benevolent Fund.
