Firefighters from Penzance Community Fire Station are taking part in a charity ladder climb on Saturday 29 May between 10am and 4pm at The Wharfside Shopping Centre in Penzance.
Around a dozen firefighters aim to scale the 10m ladder as many times as possible to climb the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest as they attempt to raise as much money as possible for ShelterBox and The Fire Fighters Charity.
Gary Rich, Crew Manager Penzance Community Fire Station says: “We want as many people as possible to come down and support us and more importantly, support these two very worthwhile charities.”
Firefighters will also be available to give advice on fire safety and to set up appointments for Home Fire Safety checks.
