Six fire appliances from Truro, St Austell, St Dennis, Perranporth, St Mawes and support vehicles from Camborne and Truro are currently dealing with a large fire.
Crews were called at 18:00 to a fire in a barn. On arrival the Crew from Truro reported that the fire was well alight and involved a single farm building measuring 100 meters by 20 meters.
Firefighters are using breathing apparatus and hose reels.

Update- The fire is believed to have started with a steam cleaner and spread to the building.
Western Power and The Environment Agency also attended this incident due to concerns over electrical supplies and chemicals used at the farm.

At 19:57 crews began damping down the hot spots and the last appliance left the scene at 22:00
