At 14:06 the Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received information of smoke issuing from a premise and fire alarms within the property were actuating

Two appliances from Truro and one from St Austell attended this incident. On arrival smoke was issuing from both sides of the roof area. Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus and using High Pressure Hosereels forced entry into the property

The fire was confirmed to be bags of clothes and general fire loading in the roof space. Crews extinguished the fire and ventilated the property

Firefighters uncovered that in the roof space there was signs of cannabis manufacturing. The Devon and Cornwall Police were requested and are now investigating further.

The fire was accidental and confined. No other details for incident.
