Shed Fire Spread to House

Fire crews from Padstow, Wadebridge and St Columb attended a shed fire that had spread to the roof of a house. Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, used two jets and two hosereels to extinguish the fire by 2000hrs.
One person suffering smoke inhalation was given oxygen therapy by firefighters, until the arrival of an ambulance. Electrical engineers also attended to deal with a live power line that had come down due to the fire.
Arson is suspected and a fire investigation is under way.
