A call was received from a campsite at Bush, near Bude where a shower block was on fire.

Two appliances from Bude consisting of 10 firefighters and a Wholetime Officer attended the incident. The crews used four breathing apparatus, two hosereels and thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the 3 metre by 6 metre building. The crews have now left the scene detemining that the fire was accidental.
