At 2311 hrs, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service were asked by Police to assist in searching for a lost 9 year old missing male using a thermal imaging camera. The last place the missing person had been seen was on the mud flats in St. Germans.

Two appliances from Saltash were initially mobilised followed by two specialist rescue vehicles from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service and two from Falmouth & St Austell in Cornwall.

Crews from Saltash wearing life jackets, used safety lines & a thermal imaging camera to assist with the search until the child was found safe and well just after midnight.
