Small Fire Involving Microwave Oven

Firefighters from Newquay were quickly in attendance following a report of a fire in a house.

The occupants had taken the right action and they had already evacuated the property before calling 999 for the fire service.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and found that there had been a small fire involving a microwave oven. They confirmed that the fire was out and the smoke was cleared from the house.

General Fire Safety Advice:
If a fire does break out in your home, chances are you will only have a short amount of time to get you and your family to safety.

Remember, if there's a fire - get out, stay out and dial 999.
