Helston crews were called to six 5 gallon canisters containing a chemical that had been dumped at Water Ma Trout Industrial estate in Helston. Two crews from Helston a Wholetime Officer and a hazardous materials (HAZMAT) Officer attended the incident.

The crews found the canisters intact and not leaking. They cordoned off the area and for a precautionary measure evacuated 2 local premises.

The Fire & Rescue Service sealed the canisters in a large over drum, which was then placed in a secure storage ready for collection by a specialist firm. On completion of this the incident was then handed over to the Police.
