Fire Cover For Part of Plymouth

Camels Head Fire Station at 07/09/2003 13:48

One appliance from Liskeard provided fire cover for part of Plymouth whilst Plymouth appliances attended the fire at The Hoe, Plymouth.

Whilst providing cover the Liskeard crew attended a fire involving 2 skips and a fire involving woods adjacent to a river bank at which firefighters lowered themselves down on ropes and using buckets of water extinguished the fire. Before leaving Plymouth they attended a report of a smell of burning in a first floor flat with people believed trapped inside. On arrival they found that no-one was inside and that the smell was from the heating system.

The crew finally returned to Liskeard at 2100hrs.
