Two crews from Mevagissey and one from St Austell attended a premise which reportedly had fire in electrics in the roof. On the crews arrival there was a small fire in the property which crews extinguished using a hosereel. Once extinguished crews found a deep seated fire in a floor space. Crews removed parts of a wall and floor to gain access to the fire. After investigation it was established that the fire had started in a chimney which had a large amount of soot accumilations. Crews cut away a timber beam above a wood burning stove and making good progress.
