Two fire appliances from Truro a fire involving a central heating unit. The fire spread from the central heating unit to to a conservatory attached to a two-storey detached cottage, measuring 10 metres by 15 metres. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hosereel, a covering jet and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. Twelve firefighters were at the scene.

Updated 1630 hrs: The fire has now been extinguished. The crews are currently using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property. The fire was believed to have started accidentally.
