Following a 999 call from a private address that cut off just after the call connected, two fire appliances from Mullion and one fire appliance from Helston were mobilised.

On arrival the first fire appliance from Mullion reported that the incident involved an electricity cable that had come down and was arcing. The other fire appliances were not required and they were returned.

Firefighters remained at the incident to ensure the safety of the public, until electrical engineers arrived to make the cable safe.
