Fire Involving Tyres
Between Tintagel and Camelford at 16/11/2010 13:45
One fire appliance from Delabole was mobilised to reports of smoke seen in the distance.
On arrival the fire crew reported that approximately 100 tyres were alight and they requested the attendance of a water carrier and another pump. These both attended from Wadebridge.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one jet, two hosereels and a fire hydrant to bring the fire under control by 1540hrs.
Update 1640hrs: Fire crews remain in attendance damping down.
Update 1710hrs: The fire crews have now finished damping down and have left the scene.
