Two pumping appliances from Truro and one pumping appliance from Falmouth were mobilised to a report of a building on fire. On arrival the crews found a rubbish fire in the corner of a single-storey cattle market dairy 30 metres by 50 metres.
Fire crew used four breathing apparatus, one hosereel and a covering jet to investigate and extinguish the fire.
Arson was initially suspected with the Police on scene, however after further investigation the fire was found to be accidental. The crews spent time damping down and turning of the area until the fire was fully extinguished.
Western Power Distribution engineers also attended to isolate the power to make the building safe.
All appliances have now left the scene and the property has been left in the hands of the security company.
Update 1300hrs: Further fire investigation has been carried out and arson is once again suspected. The police are continuing with their inquiries.
