Appliances from Looe and Liskeard attended a report of smoke issuing from the upstairs bedroom window, of a detached property in Plaidy Park Road. The property is of two storeys measuring approximately fifteen metres by ten metres. Firefighters wearing four breathing apparatus and using one hose reel, one jet and one fog fighter tackled the blaze. A thermal image camera was also used to confirm where hot spots may be located and that the fire had not entered the wall cavity or floor voids. However a substantial amount of damage has been sustained to the first floor. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

There are no further details available regarding this incident.
