Two crews from Falmouth, an Operational Support Unit and Flexi duty Officer attended a call to a house on fire at 02:14 hours. On the crews arrival the two storey building had smoke issuing from the ground floor. Crews entered the building wearing two sets of breathing apparatus taking one hosereel and a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher. The fire in the property had started under the stairs, once the fire was extinguished crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the premise. Crews disconnected the mains electrical fuse and an electricity enginner attended the incident to check the property was safe. Crews remained wearing breathing apparatus and used small tools to lift floor boards on the first floor of the property to expose further wiring and the source of the fire. One female casualty was treated by Ambulance crews for smoke inhalation. At 04:11 all breathing apparatus had been withdrawn and all floor beams involved had been exposed. The cause of this fire was accidental.
