Cornwall Council’s Community Safety Service Want To Hear From You

A public consultation asking for opinions and comments on Cornwall Council’s Community Safety Service ends at 12 noon on January 05 2011.

Cornwall Council’s Community Safety Service including Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, Emergency Management and the Crime and Disorder Reduction Team are seeking the views of Cornwall’s residents on their projects for year 2 of their 2010/13 Service Plan. The Service is carrying out a 13 week public consultation to ask for opinions and comments.

The proposed plan sets out to achieve their mission which is

“Working together to make Cornwall safer”

Once public opinion has been gathered and reviewed, the final draft of the service plan will be presented to elected members for final sign off in March 2011.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Chief Fire Officer Des Tidbury says: “We want to know what people think about our plan, which sets out the aim of ensuring we are working together for a safer Cornwall. We want the people of Cornwall to let us know how we can shape the future of community safety in Cornwall.”

The details of the plan are set out in a summary leaflet available online or by post.

The consultation period runs until 12 noon on January 05 2011.
