At 01:32hrs the FRS received a call to a fire in a garden in West Rise. Two appliances from Falmouth attended and they found a small fire involving a bag of rubbish in the garden of the property. Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel, however it had spread to the patio doors. The house which is a semi detached two storey premises measuring approximately eight metres by six metres was heavily smoke logged, and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke. The crew also fitted two smoke detectors for the occupiers.
