At 2127 this evening CFRS were called to a reported derelict hotel on fire in Trebarwith Crescent Newquay. On arrival of the first appliance from Newquay a further 3 appliances were requested to deal with the fire. Further appliances from St Columb, St Dennis, Perranporth , Truro and St Austell attended the incident. In the early stages of the fire it was reported there may be persons still inside. 4 Fire-fighters wearing breathing apparatus 2 hose reels 1 main jet were used to fight the fire. No persons were found in the property. All persons were accounted for.
