Two crews from St Austell were mobilised to a fire in a kitchen involving electrics. On their arrival crews used two breathing apparatus, one hosereel and one carbon dioxide fire extinguisher on the fire. The domestic property involved was a mid-terraced dwelling of two storeys, measuring 4 metres by 6 metres. The fire started in electrics in the kitchen and spread to a first floor bedroom.

At 0039 hrs, crews were using four breathing apparatus, two hosereels and a thermal imaging camera on the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used and the fire was under control by 0108hrs.

Crews remained on scene until a Western Power line team attended the premise to isolate the electrics and make the property safe.
