Serious Chimney Fire
Poundstock, Bude at 25/12/2010 10:23
On reports of this incident, both appliances from Bude were mobilised, on arrival smoke was seen venting from the roof area, the chimney was well alight, crews extinguished the fire using the stirrup pump and chimney rods also a high pressure hosereel, the crew used ladders to gain access to the roof and remove roof tiles from around the chimney to expose some charred beams, the area was thoroughly checked using the thermal image camera to ensure that the premises were safe.
