Serious Fire Involving Caravan

Two fire appliances from Penzance were mobilised following 999 calls reporting explosions and fire, involving a caravan.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hosereel to extinguish the caravan, that was well alight, by 2315hrs.
This was a serious incident and a joint investigation with Fire and Police officers has now taken place.
This fire which resulted in the tragic loss of the occupant is believed to be accidental.
No further information is available from Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service about this incident.
