House Fire

At approximately half past midnight, CFRS were called to a house fire involving the roof. Appliances from St Columb, Newquay and St Dennis were mobilised together with specialist appliances from Truro, Wadebridge and St Austell.
The property involved was a domestic two storey building measuring approximately ten metres by twenty metres and the fire was located on the first floor. On arrival firefighters found the building to be well alight, and wearing six breathing apparatus used three jets, and two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews are detained cutting away, turning over and damping down.
A fire investigation team will be attending the property in the morning to liase with Police as to the cause of the fire.
