On receipt of this call, stating that a horse was trapped in an adit in approximately five feet of water, appliances from Helston and Camborne, also the rescue tender from Camborne and the water safety appliance from Falmouth were mobilised, on arrival at the scene, the crew stood by until the animal was sedated by an attending vet. Four Fire & Rescue Personnel and the vet were committed into the water, the inflatable path and line rescue equipment were used in the successful recovery of the horse, the vet checked the animal over and pronounced it in good helath. Approximately thirty personnel were at the scene.
