On receipt of this call, appliances from Helston were mobilised, on arrival at the scene there was found to be a large two storey building heavily smokelogged, further resources were requested and an appliance from Camborne was mobilised, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed to the first floor and roof space of the building with a high pressure hosereel jet, a main jet and a thermal image camera to investigate.
The fire was extinguished and found to be accidental. The crews then deployed a positive pressure ventulation fan to remove the smoke from the property. Crews eventually returned to their home stations by 0300 hours.
