Burst Water Main

Two crews were mobilised to reported flooding in Mevagissey. On their arrival crews established that the flooding was being caused by a burst water main which had come up through a road. The road was severly damaged and substantial quantities of water was entering at least two properties. South West water was requsted to attend the incident and Police officers attended to help with traffic control. At 17:40 hrs May Gurney were on scene isolating the broken water main. Once the water was isolated, Fire crews helped remove water from the affected properties. Highways were requested to attend this incident to put traffic control in place.
