Reports of a fire to the rear of a shop on Falmouth road started coming into Corwall Fire Control at 07:07hrs this morning. Two appliances from Redruth and one Appliance from Camborne were mobilised inititally to the fire. On crews arrival it 'Make Pumps Three' was requested, passing a message that the premise roof was well alight. At 07:25 a request for 'Make Pumps Four, was recieved at 07:25.
The building currently involved in the fire is used as a mini supermarket, the building measures 10 m x 10 m x 3 m and is well alight. At 07:50 Cornwall Fire and Rescue crews are using four breathing apparatus, two hosereel jets, two main jets connected into a hydrant and the incident has been sectorised to allow better management of this incident.
Currently Cornwall Fire and Rescue service have a total of five firefighting appliances and four specialised appliances on scene.
There is no further information available about this incident all appliances have now left the scene.
