Village Evacuated Following Major Gas Leak

2 appliances from Callington and the Command Support Vehicle from Truro attended when a gas main was fractured. Crews assisted police in the evacuation of properties in the vicinity and stood by until Transco engineers had managed to bypass the leak. This was achieved just before midnight. The brigade was then no longer required and the incident was left with Transco engineers.
