On receipt of this call, one appliance from Newquay was mobilised, acting on further information received a further appliance from Newquay was mobilised. On arrival the crews found that the fire was in a broken chimney flue and smoke had percolated into the attic space, crews gained access to the roof and used safety at height equipment, a triple extension ladder, hosereel, thermal image camera and chimney gear to extinguish the fire.
