At 20:06hrs Cornwall Fire Control recieved a call to a premise with a bedroom on fire. Two major appliances from St Ives were mobilised immediately to the incident. On crews arrival they reported a fire in a first floor bedroom, crews used two breathing apparatus and one hosereel. Crews requested 'Make Pumps Three' at 2017 and an appliance from Penzance was mobilised to the incident.
The property involved was a domestic residence and measures 40 x 20 metres and two storeys high. Crews were using two breathing apparatus and two hosereels in the first floor bedroom, crews proceeded to the roof space.
At 20:22 crews requested the attendance of a water carrier from Helston, and at 20:27 a Landrover from St Ives was also mobilised.
At 20:45 hrs good progress was being made and crews were using four breathing apparatus, one hosereel and one jet. Crews also used small gear to access the roof space.
By 21:15 the fire had been extinguished and two hosereels were being used to damp the scene down.
