Large Gorse Fire

One crew from Bodmin attended a call to a grassland fire near King Arthurs Hall on Bodmin moor. The fire was well alight on the crews arrival and the fire had to be accessed on foot, the fire was 1.5 miles from the nearest road. 4 hectares of grassland was well alight on crews arrival at the fires location. After an assessment, crews monitored the fire, and allowed the fire to burn to natural breaks. In total 6 heactares of grassland and gorse was involved.
