Gorse Fire

The fire and rescue service received several calls to a large gorse fire at Belowda, just off the A30. Two appliances from St Columb and two appliances from St Dennis including a Wholetime Officer were mobilised to the incident.
On arrival the crews found a gorse fire over 200 metre front with several other smaller areas of gorse alight. Beaters were used to extinguish the fire. The fire was suspected arson and the police were informed of the incident.
