A38, Dobwalls Bypass, Liskeard at 11/03/2011 09:00

One crew from Liskeard attended a call to a car and a trailer which had been involved in an accident on the A38. Only one vehicle was involved, it was on its roof and was towing a 3.5 tonne drilling rig. No persons were trapped in the accident, Fire Crews assisted Highways crews and Police with cleaning the road. The A38 has been closed as the hydraulic fluid, diesel and clay pellets which have been spilt on the road are proving diffucult to wash away. As a result the road surface is extremely slippery and has been closed as a precaution. A Water Carrier from Liskeard has been mobilised to assist a Major appliance to help wash the road down.
