Gorse Fires
Various across county at 25/03/2011 01:00
The Fire Service has been committed in various locations across the County during the evening and overnight. It started in the St Ives area and crews from St Ives and Penzance tackled a 2 hectare fire using beaters. We then attended the Goss Moor area by the Iron bridge where crews from St Dennis area attended a small gorse fire which was extinguished using a hosereel. The gorse was then alight in the Trenance Valley of Cathrew where a crew from St Austell attended another small area of gorse that was extinguished using a hosereel.
