At present six major fire appliances, three landrovers and four specialist appliances with a total of 57 fire crews and three Fire Officers are also in attendance. Crews are containing a large gorse fire being fanned by high winds on several fronts. The main fire front is believed to be 1 mile long. Fire crews are using beaters to get the fire unders control. At present it is known that overhead cables have been involved in the fire.

Update 21:05. Western Power engineers were in attendance at 21:03 hrs. Fire crews are now tackling the fire on two fronts. Crews are positioned to protect properties and at natural fire breaks.
