Several 999 calls were received for this incident, appliances from Penzance and Helston were mobilised, on arrival there was found to be a single storey chalet well alight on the site of a former motel. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hosereels at the scene, further resources were requested, and the water carrier from Helston also attended. The fire in the chalet, which was approximately five metres by five metres had spread and involved the roof of adjoining properties. Ambulance attended and treated two casualties for the effects of smoke inhalation. No further details are available for this incident.
