Large Shed Fire
St Anns Chapel, Gunnislake at 24/04/2011 23:25
The Fire Service received a number of calls to a large shed alight in St Anns Chapel near Gunnislake. Two appliances from Callington were mobilised to the incident.
On arrival the crews found a large outbuilding approx 6 metres by 8 metres on fire. The crews made an additional pumping appliance to tackle the fire which came from Saltash, a Wholetime Officer from Liskeard also attended the incident, in total 15 firefighters tackled the blaze using two breathing apparatus, two hosereels, one roof ladder and a triple extension ladder to remove roof tiles and insulation. The fire was deemed accidental. The crews were detained approx 30 minutes whilst they made up their equipment. The police also attended.
