At 15:02 two crews from St Mawes were mobilised to reports of a bonfire which had accidentally spread to some woodland. One crew from Truro attended via the King Harry Ferry and a Water Carrier from Wadebridge was also mobilised. On crews arrival there was 50 x 5 metres of woods consisting of very high trees involved in the fire. Crews used one main jet and one hose reel on the fire. A dam was constructed to hold water which was being relayed from a nearby hydrant. A digger was used at the incident to turn over the original bonfire.
