The Fire Service received a call to a fire at Wheal Jewell, St Day to a caravan on fire. Two appliances and a Wholetime Officer attended the incident. On arrival the crews discovered one caravan well alight on open ground; using 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hosereel they extinguished the fire. The police also attended. The fire was confirmed to be accidental.
