Two appliances from Falmouth attended this incident, initially the incident involved a bonfire and garden shed, but then the fire spread along the permanent way of the branch line. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were involved in extinguishing the blaze, two jets were used to put out the fire. Crews were delayed for some considerable time, eventually returning to their home station at approximately 1900 hours. Arson was suspected.
