Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service are attending an incident at Redruth Brewery. Four pumps are in attendance together with the aerial ladder platform. No more details available at the present time.

There are now 6 appliances (2 from Camborne, one each from Redruth, Falmouth, Perranporth and Penzance) and approx 45 personnel in attendance.
The fire is in a large derelict building (approx 8,000 sq metres and up to 4 storeys high). The nearby Leats is providing a source of water and the ground monitor pump is in use.

Residents in the area are advised to stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed as the incident is ongoing.
CFRS are currently using three ground monitors; three fire fighting jets and the monitor on the aerial ladder platform. Local hydrants and the Leats are providing the water supply.
Update at 1900 hours: The incident is being scaled down at this time with some appliances returning to their home stations. Still in attendance are appliances from Camborne and Perranporth, the water carrier from Helston, also the command unit and aerial ladder platform from Truro.
Update at 2000 hours: The incident has now been scaled down and the only remaining crews at the scene are an appliance from Perranporth and the aerial ladder platform from Truro, who are damping down remaining hot spots at the incident, security of the site has been arranged by a building surveyor.
Update at 2100 hours: All crews have now left the scene. Possible attendance may continue throughout the night to deal with hot spots.
