Fire In Cottage

One fire appliance from Looe, one fire appliance from Callington (that was standing by at Liskeard) and one fire appliance from Polruan attended reports of a fire in a property.
The fire involved electrics on the first floor of a two-storey mid-terraced cottage, measuring six metres by eight metres. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hosereel to extinguish the fire by 1040hrs. Electrical engineers were requested to isolate the electricity supply.
Paramedics were requested to care for an occupant who was possibly suffering smoke inhalation and shock.
