One fire appliance from St Dennis and one fire appliance from St Austell attended a report by neighbours of smoke issuing from an upstairs window of a house.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using two hosereels, entered the house, measuring seven metres by eight metres and extinguished a fire in an upstairs bedroom by 1300hrs. A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to clear the smoke from the property.
