Two fire appliances from Launceston were mobilised to a report of smoke inside a bookshop.
On their arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus located a fire in the rear of the shop. A thermal imaging camera and one hosereel was used to extinguish the fire by 0100hrs.
Arson is suspected and the police are now dealing.
