Appliances from Newquay, St Columb, Truro and St Austell are currently attending a fire involving a garage measuring approximately ten metres and five metres. Inside the garage are acetylene cylinders and tyres. Firefighters wearing four breathing apparatus and using two ground monitors to fight the fire from a distance away from the garage. There has been an exclusion zone set up around the incident of two hundred metres as a precaution. Police and Ambulance personnel are also in attendance.
Further information regarding this incident at 2345hrs. Crews are starting to return to their home stations, the corden is being downscaled to 45 metres and people are being returned to their properties as appropriate. Firefighters with one ground monitor will be in place for twenty four hours cooling the cyllinders.
