Person Rescued From House Fire

Pengegon Parc, Camborne at 31/05/2011 21:59


At 21:59 hrs this evening a property was reported to be on fire in Pengegon Parc. On the initial call it was stated that one person was reported as being in the building. Two crews from Camborne and one from Redruth were mobilised to the incident along with a Flexi-duty Officer. On their arrival Fire crews led the resident in the property outside to safety and subsequently confirmed that all persons had been accounted for. Using two breathing apparatus and one hosereel crews extinguished the chip pan which had caught alight after it was left unattended. The casualty was treated on scene by Ambulance Paramedics for smoke inhalation.
Fortunately the occupant had been alerted to the fire by working smoke detectors in the premise.
