At 04:52 this morning Cornwall Fire Control received a call from a Hotel on Lusty Glaze Road stating there was smoke in the building and that the fire alarms in the premise were sounding. On receiving the call Cornwall Fire Control mobilised two appliances from Newquay and a Flexi Duty Officer. The caller at the hotel was told to start evacuating the three storey hotel.
On Fire crews arrival they found there had been a small fire in an electrical fuse box in the pool area. The fire was out on the crews’ arrival, crews isolated the electrics to ensure the building was safe.
