At 11:10 this morning Cornwall Fire and Rescue service received a call to a large bonfire which had gotten out of control. One crew from St Austell were mobilised and started using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel on the fire. At 11:27 St Austell crews passed an assistance message of ‘make pumps two’, a second major appliance from St Austell was mobilised immediately to the incident. Crews set into open water on the site and used a ground monitor on the fire along with two breathing apparatus and two hose reels.
