Road Traffic Collision, Two Persons Trapped

At 16:17 an On Call Firefighter from Newquay dialled 999 after witnessing a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A3075 at the Rejerrah Dip, Newquay. On the call it was stated that there was two persons trapped in the vehicle. One appliance from Perranporth was mobilised along with a Rescue Tender from Camborne. On crew’s arrival it was confirmed that one male was trapped in the vehicle, a female had been released from the vehicle prior to the Fire Services attendance. Fire crews used crash rescue equipment to cut the male casualty free of the vehicle. One hose reel was used as a precaution to cover the vehicle. Both casualties were left in the care of Ambulance personnel.

Highways have been requested to clean vehicle fluids from the road. Police also attended this incident.

As a result of this incident the A3075 has been closed.
